Alone at last but don’t know where to go
I’m just waiting for my heart to find it’s way back home
Way up high I forgot to look below
So when the fog comes I just lose control 'til you say
Everything’s alright
You don’t have to hide
It’s okay to cry
Long as you get by
Everything’s alright
Long as you get by
And it seems like every time the colors in the sky
Light up my eyes with tears I’ve never cried
For a thousand lives I’ve never tried
Am I losing my mind?
I don’t know what I lost when I left myself behind
But then I hear your voice above the lights
It’s okay to cry
Long as you get by
Everything’s alright
You don’t have to hide
It’s okay to cry
Long as you get by
Maybe we should embrace (Embrace)
The Void we gotta face (Embrace the void)
There's no end to the chase (No end, no end to the chase)
Except what lies in fate embrace it all
Embrace the rise
Embrace the fall
Embrace the void (Embrace)
Embrace the light
Embrace the dark
Embrace it all (Embrace)
Embrace the rise
Embrace the fall
Embrace the void (Embrace)
Embrace the light
Embrace the dark
Embrace it all (Embrace)
I'm done being so afraid
All I've done is hesitate
It's weighing me down, l'll just be free now
I'm done thinking the world is against me
'Cause I'm blessed by the sun and the sea
I'm ready to meet my blessings
I've held back for too long
I've been stressing
It's weighing me down
l'll just be free now, be free now
Maybe we should embrace (Embrace)
The Void we gotta face (Embrace the void)
There's no end to the chase (No end, no end to the chase)
Except what lies in fate embrace it all
Your worries are all okay
The joy, the pain, it's natural, innate
It's all within you, find it within you
It's okay to feel weak, it's a blessing
Healing things is a part of this lesson
It was weighing me down
Baby let's be free now
Maybe we should embrace (Embrace)
The Void we gotta face (Embrace the void)
There's no end to the chase (No end, no end to the chase)
Except what lies in fate embrace it all
Embrace it all
MÒZÂMBÎQÚE leans into the metamorphic flow of his music, granting space for the sound to grow continuously. Born Andrew Smith, MÒZÂMBÎQÚE settled on his artist name during a formative trip to Africa. Post-college, he and a friend booked a one-way ticket to Zimbabwe. He trekked through South Sudan, Kenya, and Mozambique and wound up in the Comoro Islands, where a misunderstanding landed him in jail. As fate would have it, he cleared everything up with the locals, who proved warm and hospitable as he finished his trip.
During 2022, he remotely recorded the Peril 1998 EP with Soft Palace, sharing ideas back and forth and bringing the tracks to life. "The approach was, 'Let's do whatever feels good,'" Andrew reveals. "To us, no idea is a bad idea. The EP is very eclectic. It's all electronic music, but there are slower songs and more upbeat house songs as well. That's why our collaborative relationship works well. We're never worried about what genre it is as long as we enjoy it."
